i recently had a call from a customer who has had his electric meter removed by the energy supplier. he says he needs a certificate before they will come back out and install a new one. as i havent come across this problem before what type of cert would i issue ??
would it be a eicr and just LIM all the live tests as they is no supply to the property?
any help with this would be very greatful.

many thanks
Darren

Ha ha, had one of these the other day.
The meter had been removed, because the tenant had bypassed the meter. I did a EICR, LIM to just a visual, and condemned the whole thing. Never seen anything like it. Couldn't find anything I liked, a part from a single socket outlet that wasn't damaged. Don't think that letting agent will ever like me!

Tough on the agent, we're not here to be liked¬

thank you for the replys, has been of help. maybe i should let this job go especially if it like the other one and he was by passing the meter. thanks again

as long as you get paid, just complete a EICR with all dead tests, and N/A in the boxes where you don't test anything.
