What do I need to be an electricians mate?

What site cards do I need? Or anything you need to be an electricans mate?

Can I get the ecs card? I thought you have to be in training electrician or apprentice?

I've spent a bit of time pondering what it says on the ECS website.
At first glance it's as clear as mud. I sussed it eventually. LOL
You'd need to be on a course that leads to qualifying for a JIB gold card to get a trainee card.

Not in training, as of yet currently doing a crap factory job, I want to be an electricians mate do I only need to cscs labourers card?

And a PHD in brain surgery would be advantageous but not essential

If you are looking for electricians mate jobs then you would almost have to have a CSCS card to be able to be even considered.
These are fairly straightforward to get and do not require a great amount of knowledge, but just some common sense and health and safety awareness.

Often jobs will want experience, so that would be useful for you to think about.
I also agree with the posts above: PPE, basic hand tools and a good work ethic. (oh yes and some luck in getting the job)
