Hi
Have the following setup in a distribution box supplying a swimming pool. One of the 16A switches (4th from right) has died - 240V goes into it, but nothing comes out! I assume this is just an isolator switch fed by the rcds on the left and has no trip function itself? Any suggestions as to what I need to use to replace the switch?
Thanks

They look like double pole switches to me as well.
You could swap it for the one on the end, firstly to check it is the switch that's faulty, and secondly so you can take the faulty switch down the wholesalers.

Double pole isolator. I'd be wanting to check why it's failed as well. It'll be feeding the pump, filter and heater so maybe one of them is faulty. My advice would be to get them checked by a competent electrician.

I've had another look at it. So, as far as i can see, a two core SWA feeding the RCCB, the neutrals linked out on the outgoing side, and the lives linked out too. But to WHAT?? and why the discrepancy between the 'devices' whatever they are?

Can someone clear this up for me?

The load terminals of the Rccb feed a single pole mcb,the other mcbs are fed by the links, from each load terminal of the mcb,a feed is taken to a double pole switch, the double pole switches each have a neutral from the link neutrals off the rccb load neutral

Each circuit is then fed by relevant rated mcb to double pole switch for isolation, to the item that needs supplying
The rccb covers all circuits

looks like rccb feeding mcbs which in turn go through double pole isolators to equipment. seems like you need to replace with another double pole isolator, probably of any make as it seems they are just placed on din rail.

What do i need to replace this ?
To the original post -
Not wishing to sound rude or arrogant mate but i would simply just say a qualified electrician !
It is a swimming pool there may be a underlying fault , why risk it ?
I am all for helping others out on this forum but some jobs just need a sparks , as simple as that .

I hope this set-up ''isn't'' controlling the swimming pool pump, that is normally done via a S/Pool control panel which would include the pump motor starter c/w overload module. It will also control any under water pool lighting, along with any heater control modules.

So Sws, ....What is this CU set-up controlling???
