Hi guys would appreciate your input. Bit of a pricing novice. Pricing a three bed rewire in north hampshire for a pal of mine whos doing it up to sell it. The house is unoccupied and empty. basic sockets and pendants all round but evertthing needs chasing in. I worked the materials out at £800 and im allowing 5 days on it so i reckon £1800 - 2k. I know the bloke well and this is just basically extra cash as i have a job. Just wondered if this sounds about right? What are others charging?

If your charging him mates rates, then thats not bad. I have just finished a 1 bed terrace, with a basement conversion into a bedroom and utility room and shower room and I quoted £1500. Took me 3 days. Normally you would work out the parts, then think how long its gonna take, then what you want per day and Bobs ya uncle.

Hi thats deffo mate rates you have given there! a 3 bed rewire should be around £3,500 all day long. Im sure we can all admit a rewire is a hard graft.

If he is not registered or don't notify labc ?

This in theory should put the mookers on any house sale possibility
But no doubt when the brown hits the fan,the solicitor may find a way of circumventing the law, by getting someone to do an eicr and possibly getting lots of money knocked off the price

I'm sure thats not the case though

Muckers rates are all well and good,but many friendships have been lost after cosy work agreements go haywire
The job seems like a fair price to me
