Discuss What do you think of this van racking? in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net
The trouble with steel shelves is the weight they add to the payload.LOL, I'm in the same position having just ordered a transit which will take 16 weeks I've spent the last few days looking at racking.
ive never had steel, always knocked up something out of MDF but having looked these last few days think I'm going to go steel with lockable draws etc.
Have a butchers on eBay as you can get some bargains on used but not abused stuff.
Bri-stor, Sortimo, Tevo etc
Don't forget most insurance policies for vans require you to notify them if you install it... otherwise they could refuse to payout.
Sortimo racking. But more expensive but very sturdy and good
Fack me onions. That your van? If so, very smart racking. Looks the business. Few issues I can see though. Chief of which is the weight. Must weigh a bloody ton!
that's the other point I was gonna bring up! does the insurance company know about all that?got more stock than wholesalers in there!

I'm not sure exactly how much it cost but it didn't come cheap as they racked 300 vans all the same. I'm employed not self employed but if I was paying myself I'm not sure I would carry quite as much gear at once. To keep under the weight I've had to take off all galv stuff and bending machine etc as it tips me over. It is lwb , this van is about 3 months and already had a new side due to meeting a lorry . Not my fault I must add.
