Hi everyone,
Hope your enjoying the heat, I am !!

Went to a house today, for a price on a board upgrade. House is approx 10-15 years old, 3 bed semi with garage attached to side ( sounds like a Bairstow Eves advert )

I opened the understairs door to see the current board, no problems there, but next to this, the following has been installed.

40a wylex isolator, fed from 25mm tails which in turn go into a Henley block. Then another 25mm tails which come from the isolator, go through a hole that is drilled into the wall and into the c/unit in the garage.

On the garage side, the tails which have come through, are now inside a 6x4 plastic adaptable box, and then exit the box upto the garage consumer unit ( they are enclosed in deep plastic trunking.

To be fair, it looks neat and I remember that I used to see houses with the supply, main fuse and meter were on the outside of the house at the front, but inside a large plastic box and the tails drilled through the wall and up into the c/unit.

Do you think that the install is ok to the garage board ??? Or is there something I must tell the home owner?

Thanks for reading this and regards,
Sav
