What does the average self employeed Electricain earn per year?

What does the average self employed Electrician earn per year?

Was toying with the idea of come back into the electrical business but wanted an idea of what the average self employed person was earning a year - I know it’s a personal question but getting an average would allow me to know whether I can afford to leave my current employment. I reckon I would need to earn around £45K up wards to make the move viable


Hope you peeps can give me a clue as to whether it possible – I’ve started a poll so people don’t have to say I’m earning X or Y but it will hopefully allow me to see an average etc

Bushy,

A lot depends on how hard you look for the work, your geographical location, contacts you have and how well established you are, and a raft of other things. I have voted in your poll anyway, but it just a reflection of how hard or not i choose to work. I could do £100,000 a year if i wanted but i cant be bothered to put in the effort.

As Howard says, it all depends on how hard you work. I pull a £10K annual pension, so I just need spending money
