Hi guys, I can fit 15kwh worth of solar panels on my roof space, and i'm debating if I should either export to off set my electric bills or go off grid.

The roof is on a commercial building but we only have single phase supply.

So is it wothwhile exporting compared to going off grid? what are the current export rates and would I need 3 phase installed?

No it's not worth to export for pathetic 4p per kWh that most suppliers offers. Some does 10-12p but certain criteria needs to be meet, like owning EV. Depend how you use your energy it may be better to install less panels and invest in battery storage to maximise usage of generated energy. Either way 3ph is not needed. Proper calculation would be essential to determine which option is best, ie. on grid battery storage or off grid with generator etc

Also best to ask as AFAIK if you have more than 3.7kW (16A) there are extra restrictions, etc, on the system and to what you get in payment.
