what is kewtech FC1000?

hi, i know that all testers need a caliberation certificate, does a kewtech FC1000 can do this? it is only 100 quids, anyone knows this?

Hi bluesky. Yep, that will do it but remember, you get what you pay for! The FC8000 is about 3 grand!

if i buy one, does this mean i can do caliberation by myself? sounds too good to be true...

Have these at college and they are easy to use! From my understanding if you check your instruments every week and log the results in the log book so you have a record, then you don't need to get instruments calibrated every year. The FC1000 does not 'calibrate' your instruments it just allows you to monitor the values/readings the instruments give and then if they change then you need to send them off for recalibration. The checkbox will extend the calibration of your instruments, need to be looged though. Also, the checkbox will still need to be calibrated every year.
