Can anyone please tell me what this Is? One wire runs a light, the other runs a forget extension, one looks to run to the box in the wall which I presume maybe earth, one is blank and it is all plugged into the wall. Can this just be unplugged,the box removed from the wall

A customer of mine who is a coffee roaster told me a story of a guy who travelled to Kenya many many years ago..
He was a coffee importer, as his business grew he went out to visit the natives who had been planting and growing the coffee beans for many years... To make their work easier he took a tractor out there to speed things up...
The next time he went out he noticed they were still struggling and asked about the tractor, a finger pointed to the exhaust pipe protruding out of the ground... They were taking very good care of it.
