Hi All , looking to purchase a multi-function tester i.e earth loop impedance , rcd , insulation resistance,continuity e.t.c.

Looking for a reasonable quality unit and something suitable to use while being 'part p' assessed - whats your reccomendations. Money is tight !!

Any help appreciated.:)

I got a megger mft1502 from ebay a good soild tester £150 with cert (but theres always a risk). my mate brought a kewtenich for £350 new its not a patch on my now spare mtf1502.

If money's a bit tight then Megger is possble not an option unless you're lucky to find one on ebay.

Found this for £330
Part P mains compliance tester EasiPLUS

The NIC often do good deals on meters, and you don't always have to be NIC registered to cash in
Megger for under £600 NICEIC - approving excellence

Personally I don't think Kewtech are bad, I know some disagree because of the name.
When my MFT1552 kept going wrong I got rid of it for a Kewtech KT64 and have never looked back.

I bought a Metrel mi3000 for about 320 + vat cos like u money was tight and just starting up, found it a good reliable meter, does everything you want for under £400.
