Hi guys
Just breezed the 2382, already have 236 parts 1 & 2(yes im old school)

I'm looking to go it alone, heading for domestic and commercial.

Do I require anything else or am I good to go?

You are good to go mate. Register with a scheme...get assessed, pass then bingo. They will want you to pass the 2391 within 12 months otherwise you will not be a full scope member.

Big balls, nerves of steel and not forgetting God powers. In the next 12 months the economy will be even tougher. You’re going to need loads of luck!

Well there's differing opinions!

I know it's hard out there but having spent a 10 year break from the trade and being in IT believe me, struggling to get back to sparkying is much more appealing than hanging where I am and waiting for the inevitable chop.

Next on my list is getting a mft, I think my best bet is to join a scam scheme. I'm planning on weekend work while I still have a full time position in IT. I'll reassess after a year and see if it is worth continuing in the scheme. At the moment it seems the best way for me to do domestic, obviously as I'm doing weekend stuff domestic will be where I'm at.
