What? No Thatcher thread?

Guess the thing with Margaret Thatcher was you either loved her or hated her, I've seen very few people who sit on the fence.

In South Africa there's very mixed opinions, she was remembered here for insisting the ANC was viewed as a terrorist organisation during the apartheid era and her refusal to meet or otherwise entertain Nelson Mandela during those times.

RIP Margaret Thatcher.

I will not lower my self to comment what i actually thought of the women. I was a young sparky working in the shipyards, and my friends and family of the mines, i see de nationalisation and privatisation of industry and families still split to this day.

Condolences to her family and friends, death in anyones family is not nice. I will leave it there.

I disagreed with her policies but it is sad for the family when anyone dies, my sympathies to them.

I know a lot of people disagreed with her actions in the past, but I was listening to LBC on the radio this morning and apparently her son and daughter hardly saw her in the last 6 months and didn't see her over Xmas seeing as though they knew she moved to the ritz to see her last days out, disgusting behaviour in my eyes

I was quite surprised there wasn't a Thatcher thread as well, although people have made their views clear in many other threads.
As usual the 'Socialist' response seems to be to take to the streets, smash up shops and throw things at the police - 'if you don't like something, smash the place up. If you do like something, smash the place up'.
I don't really understand this 'Socialism'.

i always knew MDJ was a communist union militant. ;-)

i have upmost respect to Mrs. Thatcher as a leader of the UK , and she did more to improve the economy than anything labour ever did.
and before all the haters march in with their political rants , show some dignity.
