What Price??

Hi Everyone,

I was browsing the Web and found this Page.

How do you think the prices compare to your own? I'm looking expensive

Some of the prices on that page look a bit over the top mate.Thats why a lot of sparks are under cutting everyone on jobs.People are going to take the cheapest quote,but not always the best quote.They probably think they are saving money but are they really.

The web-site is a good idea in principle but as you say Mac no-one works to the same criteria or standards.
The site does help in that its high-ish prices reflect the charge rate that could be applied if everyone had work & didn't need to compete with 20 other sparks in the area. (Like that will happen in my life-time)~ (Mind you I am ancient)
If potential customers were to use this as guidance then perhaps we wouldn't get comments like "How much for an extra socket?!" "Don't you just have to fix a box onto the wall"

How much do you charge for adding a socket.£60 sounds adequate,but as you say mate,every job is different and you have to price accordingly,especially if a Man U fan turns up at a Liverpool fans house

Ha-ha, or a hatter's fan at ANY premiership club fans domicile

About £60.00 sounds right but depends on length & difficulty of run, type of installation etc & sometimes house-holders ability to pay (Shh..don't tell them).

PS I noticed Wenger being unusually contrite & modest yesterday!!

I think it was more of a case West Ham determination (& need) to get a result mixed with a good subsitution mixed with a bit of bad luck in the penalty area, although 2 penalty calls one soft & one a stronger case (maybe) will usually get a result from the ref.

We'll see.Too much money in football today,not like the old days.Still reckon Pat Jennings was the best goalkeeper in the world and David Seaman a close second,shame Pat never played for England.Should actually start a new thread with the greatest british football players.
