What qualifications do i need to work in the UK as an electrician ?

Hi All,

Am a qualified Irish electrican with 10 years experience of industrial (6 years) and domestic (4 yrs) installations. Work has totally dried up over here, so was thinking of heading over to the Uk.So was wondering if my qualifications were good enough to get something or do i need to complete a course to British standards?If so, who does these courses and how much are they?Is it just as bad in the UK for work?
