The title is the question. What tests would you perform after changing and consumer unit? Thanks:)

Its probably better to do some tesing before the consumer unit change

Here is the esc guidancehttp://www.esc.org.uk/pdfs/business-and-community/electrical-industry/BPG6_09.pdf

Personally I test as much as I can,It doesn't take too long to do a faily comprehensive test instead of the minimum that may be acceptable
Getting into that habbit of testing as much as you can, rather than what the other guy may do, is my opinion

As already mentioned do as many tests as possible before you change the CU, this way you can minimise any unforseen problems and faults on the existing installation which RCDs and the like will uncover

If you get to the point where your tesing reveals a totally shoddy installation, you arn't then left with a brand new CU you cant connect up to because of any existing faults.

Thanks. All top advise. I've found the forum massively helpful. Cheers for taking the time out to answer even the most straightforward of question. Passed my Elecsa assessment today with a CU being my major installation. Whoop, whoop! Cheers again.
