today during a pir on a flat, cables feeding kitchen sockets, cooker and main water bond leave the db and run outwith the installation in the communal stairwell in plastic trunking then back in to the installation. i sealed it at both points of entry. what code if any would be appropriate?

No code as long as adequate mechanical protection is provided, and the trunking is of adequate size for the circuits enclosed....cant see that any regulations are broken.
