hi lads just looking for a few opinions here really to see what you think.

been working for agencies for the last year or so and quite frankly i'm a bit p***** off with it all!getting a start 65 miles from home and told "keep your head down and you'll get a years work" just to be told a week later you're paid off...on a sunday after working 2x12s at the weekend:mad:

rant over! so...wondering where to go from here?can keep working for the agencies but fed up with the hassle and the recruitment guys acting like your doing them a favour or could try taking the leap and going on my own. scary but exciting thought. or could try to get back on the books with a local firm but theres not much happening there.

i'd appreciate your opinions on this, cheers

you have to do what you think is right, i work agency at the moment and have had continuous employment for the last 2 years.
I know what its like and how much the recruiters lie to you some are worse than others but if you give them notice when your leaving or you have days off they tend to treat you a little better. the travel is tedious though at times.
i am setting up my own company and will work weekends and evenings as well as my day job, the competent person scheme is a pin in the arse though!
