Hi all,
I have been asked to install a new cu in a house.
I work for myself , i have 2330,2383,2392,2391 and other stuff and experience.
What i want to know is as most of my work is commercial and I am not part P at present.
I am capable of installing and testing the cu but then what happens and would building control accept my installation certs? I am planning on joining niceic part p scheme as soon as i can but that takes time and they want this cu tomorrow. any idea whats what?
Paul

you have 30 days to inform building control from when the job is ( finished ) if you apply to niceic now you will be able to use the install as a peice of work for them to inspect and then sign it off when they give you the ok. good luck.

your only other option if your not joining a part p scheme is to get your customer to notify there local council and have one of there monkeys to come out and inspect your work that will cost between £100-£200
