I think i would like to go into domestic installation but not sure really. just would like to know if ive started the right sort of course (bit late now) and what would be the best for me to do next.....i will be trying to get experiance along the way. any help will great thanks

There are so many people on here looking for advice mate about what to do.It is hard ,as there are so many qualified sparks out there looking for work and really hard to advise.Just keep going mate and all will come good.

hi mate i'm in the same boat as you. looking for a career change but can't afford the pay cut. i've done 3 years 2330 and have finished L3. i'm doing my 17th edition exam on monday. i've hardly done more than wire a plug in those 3 years but got distinctions across the board. being in the trade will obviously help in the last year but not a nessesity. i have friends who are sparkies and get the odd wk/end work but nothing i'd call real experience as it's too few and far between. unfortunatley though there comes a time when you're gonna have to take that leep into being an electricians boy. and i'm afraid only you are gonna know when the time is right for you. for me it's not yet.but in answer to your first question i would say YES you are in the right course.
