Hi guys, I am a DIY homeowner and the light in my bathroom went out. I stupidly threw away the bulb without checking the connector but I noted down the model number. It was an osram dulux el longlife 20w/41-827 but I can't for the life of me find it online. I have attatched 2 pictures of what the light socket in my bathroom looks like and I was wondering if anyone knew what type of bulb will fit in it. I was thinking a 2 pin bulb but I am not sure. Thanks if anyone can help.

Looks like you have broken the fitting by the looks of it.
Are you talking about the black plastic casing? It's been like that for years. If it's not that, then have I broken something else? Thank you for informing me about the fitting, I am wondering however if I need to call an electrician in to swap out the fitting/socket due to the damage.

Looks like a standard b22 bayonet socket, but as @westward10 points out, that’s broken. There’s no plastic for the pins on the side of the bulb to hook onto

A new one wont cost much.

Ah ok, thanks very much for the info, I will look into a replacement. I feel like I may have broken off more of the plastic when I took it out, taking a second look at it, it wasn't ever that badly chipped.

They sometimes get brittle with heat/age and then crack.
