What would a 4kw system earn

Hi guys, i know its going to be vague, but what would you expect a 4kw system to earn over the next 3 months, the reason i ask is that i have an install but its now 3 months before i can get assessment i'm gutted, the area is the north west

Hard to say, for easy numbers lets say it produces 300 units per month, this roughly equates to 120 per month, plus the savings on electric and a little export. Find another installer, 3 months is a long time, I'm busy but I wouldn't keep someone waiting that long.

Cant believe that.... how longs a piece of string is the answer with out the assessment you wont know ! Being bound by REAL guidance I cant miss sell, however based on a well sighted South 4kWp system using SAP 2009 could be £176.

sorry guys, i think i may not have been so clear, i have done an install and awaiting assessment by NAPIT in order to become accredited and its going to be 3 months (circa) before they can get round to the assessment, in which case the client will not get the fit until such time, the next 3 months period i guess will be a low yield period, i just wanted to have an idea of the clients loss of fit to provide a dicount of that amount.

Ohhh, 3 months? That seems a long wait.

All you need to is pay his generation until the day you can sign it off, plus export for what it's worth.

Actually..... it is 25 years from the day it is signed off so you may not owe him anything. Unless he expects to be dead in 10 year or so, I suppose.

Offering a nice discount would be nice though. Especially as they took a risk on your assessment.

darn, ive also waited 2 + months for my assesment, i thought they would just pay from the day i commisioned it and put it online.

Some customers who help out pre MCS installers could miss out on the current Fit rate's if the assessors don't get there fingers out.

Napit's just taken on 6 new assessors, so hopefully the back log will be cut. Niceic are currently offering mid december appointments, or were last week.
