Just been to look at a job for a friend of a friend and was wondering what you would charge.

CU change from a 3036 to 17th edition
Supply to garage (ducting in place with draw rope :) )
2 way CU in garage
2x S/O in garage
2x 5ft Fluro's
1x 1g L/S
Fit 1x S/O below CU

Earthing is in 10mm, tails are 25mm, N to E test at CU is ok, bit of conduit up the side of garage (vertical drop to duct via an IP box 3m length)

Equipment comes to approximately ÂŁ230, about a days work and in the north east...

can I get away with 30mA RCD's on a TT? I have my doubts ...:)

what's wrong with a 30mA RCDas main switch in garage, fed from non RCD way in house CU? and where did TT come from? is the house installation TT?

First you ned to know how many circuits are on the old board, and from past experiance this could take all day to test if its a old rewireable shot, maybe more, if the conductors are all over the place, unnamed doubled up and fused with bits of coathanger, all the new stuff a day and a half, CU change old off, new on a few hours unless your upside down under the stairs, and at ÂŁ30 per hour plus materiels
