went to a house where the buildr did the electric work . he got hid domestic installer in to certify the job .by the way it was atrocious. when i went and did a few things i looked at the cert and saw a couple of obvious mistakes whe i start doing other things found some really dodgy stuff .i rang the builder for the client whe just put the phone down on me . i rang the electrician who did come that day who did come in next day to make good and put the faults i found right and recetify .
but
i have the old cert what would you do forward it to his inspector or give him the benefit of the doubt as he did come back

i think the builder gives him work and aked him to pass it fot him !!!

Depends on how shocking it was id say, I mean at least he came back but if his work was that bad and dangerous yeah report him

i would have had a quiet word with the spark. he should not sign off the builder's work anyway, as rob has said. and if he's signing off dodgy work, then it's him in the dock, not the cowboy builder who, if anything went wrong would drop him in the brown stuff.

the builder did drop him in it and i did have a quite word in front of the customer but i dont think he was embarressed at all
