Dimming ELV LEDs by the look of it.

As it says, controlling LED drivers or dimming specifically designed electronic ballasts in fluorescent lights for example.

You'll come across them in schools a lot, where a row of lights needs to be dimmed in front of a whiteboard or by a sensory area for example.

as lenny says dimmable led drivers like the collingwood ones have 0-10v dc terminals for a dimmer.

0-10V DC was the old analogue standard for theatre dimmers too... The big rack-mount jaspers with the 15A BS546 or Socapex sockets.
