Hello
firstly I am a customer who reads this forum and I find it to be very informative..well done.

Secondly knowing all this information is a minefield for me and gets you thinking is my install OK.
Anyway I have had an install completed in November and have submitted a FIT form,MCS cert etc off to EDF..heres hoping its filled in correctly.
Just been reading one of the threads about a G83 notification...do I need one?

My install is 2.75kw

thanks:sunny:

Hello

You installer will have completed the G83 notification and submitted it to the DNO, the people who own the powerlines in your area.

thanks for replying...does it affect my FITs application if they forget to submit a G83 (think you have 28 days to submit from commissioning)..who is the onus on to ensure its correctly submitted?
:sunny:

The G83 form is for the installer to complete, in my experiance some DNOs are taking 6months to process forms. I have never heard of it effecting a FIT application, i'm sure if your installer takes a bit too long it will be fine.

I think you should have been notified by now from edf that they have recieved your application, all the ones i have sent in i have had an acknowlegment with in ten days even though they have not been processed.

hello steve
I have had reply off edf that they have received FIT form(emailed it and had it sent recorded delivery)
Have had two different letters ( FIT001/FIT021) one saying they have received application and other saying application has had an initial check and all looks fine. But they quite clearly state the onus of submitting a fully eligible application remains with the generator(me!)
Just queried that the G83 wont let me down as it was only reading previous threads that it came up.
thanks

It looks like your g83 is ok because it would have been picked up when the fits office cross referenced with the ofgem register, we had a g83 go astray in the post that we did`nt know about untill the fits office picked up on it.
