Scaffold going up tomorrow,3.525kw system getting delivered Monday then fitted Tuesday. So either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning email and then send off FIT application to EDF.That gives me 8 working days, barring the strike effecting anything and not counting Saturdays which they will hopefully be working.Im in the hands of the weather also cos we have high winds up here now but are predicted to drop.Has anyone emailed the FIT to EDF in the past week or so an been accepted cheers.

Hi , We've been told by both British Gas & Eon that as long as we email the paperwork to them by 11:59PM on the 11/12/11 that they will accept them , they went on to say that if they have a backlog it's there responsibilty not our's , probably pay to give EDF a call to confirm what there procedure is.
If you are doing the install early next week you've got plenty of time in my opinion.
Good Luck.
Lee

thanks for that i might get a nights sleep once this wind drops. To me once i paid the deposit my FIT rate should be secured for 2 months just so suppliers an fitters have a chance.

meaning the government could have said that any install that was booked and a deposit paid had 2 months to be fitted which would have avoided all the mad rush.It would also have kept work going until xmas and past the consultation date, but any bookings past the 12th could have been set at the lower rate.

out of intrest google GOOD ENERGY we were talking about Edf fit form on previous thread saying will we make it! chap said try good energy as they will reg ur Fit! open all next weekend seems very nice set up and i bet u can TALK to them without waiting 2 hrs in a queue! ive just downloaded there form! will take a look tomoz!!!!

I wouldn't panic, you'll be fine. Our customers have been getting totally stressed out and they sent their forms off 10 days ago, the utility has received them and confirmed everything is ok but they still ring for reassurance. We've gone from calls desperate for installation to calls to confirm Fit payments. One wanted to send it to another supplier "just in case"

Just to let you know my EDF experience...

Installation completed on Friday 18th November. Application sent off to EDF that day by recorded delivery and also emailed a copy. Proof of delivery signed for on Monday 21st.

I phoned them midweek to try and confirm they had received application. Very busy and said they would confirm by email.

On Saturday 26th I received a letter dated 25th confirming receipt of my application. They informed me the application would now be checked and processed but that this could take up to 6 weeks. They also told me that if there were any problems with my application then they would be in touch in the next two weeks.

No email received either as a result of my email or phone call to them.

All quite reasonable really bearing in mind their workload at present.

Google good energy I have an email from them saying they will have staff in their offices in Chippenham over the weekend 10th/11th and any FIT app received either in person or by email will be honoured.
