If your doing installs and testing them you would be wise to brush up in this area, as Lenny said it's PSSC, along side which you also measure the PEFC, Prospective Earth fault Current the highest of these recorded values is the PFC which is entered on the EIC expressed as kA
LOL! Or as 30mA as I saw on one form handed to us recently!
Here's two pages giving further info:

sorry steve your right i should have been a bit more concise in my postIf your doing installs and testing them you would be wise to brush up in this area, as Lenny said it's PSSC, along side which you also measure the PEFC, Prospective Earth fault Current the highest of these recorded values is the PFC which is entered on the EIC expressed as kA
Cheers for all your answers-
so I have now established that:
PSCC = prospective short circuit current (L-N fault single phase L-L three phase)
PEFC = prospective earth fault current (L-E fault)
PFC = prospective fault current is the higher value obtained of the other two
What are the formulas for calculating these?
Why do we need to know what the PSCC and PEFC?
Thanks- John
6000 is the number of wylex breakers recalled each month
