Can anyone tell me why we bother??

Gas engineers charging upto £80 per hr and sparks job is just if not more dangerous and yet i find myself hearing that the average householder will do electrics themselves and not attempt gas work because they are not allowed to.

Why oh why????

Homeowners were allowed to do gas work on their OWN home ie not for reward.

Im not sure it is still the same now.

Its the crazy world we live in and nothing will change until an MP gets a good jolt from DIY then a crusade will start to protect the householder and after his feww weeks of fame milking it for what he can get everything goes back to normal
