The previous owner had this running outside sockets and lights, but had it disconnected before the new owners moved in. Can anyone tell me what type it is? (The owners are away at the moment, but I'll try and get a more decent picture and sizing when they return)

Thanks for the reply guys. I'm going to air my thoughts now... since it hasn't got any form of protection it should be replaced with a SWA cable. And where did he get hold of it in the first place. And what could it be used for at a later date...
 
You can purchase this cable from most wholesalers.

Not cheap though, but a whole lot easier to install.

It can be used for submains etc, providing they dont need mechanical protection.

Must be treated the same as T&E.
 
This Split Concentric cable is used on all Roads Service Street Lighting in N Ireland installed inside 40mm orange ducting between the poles. Its bulky in a Street light cut out. It needs mechanical protection and as the previous post said treat it like Twin and Earth
