Hi all, hopefully you can see the image of Electronic IR sensor switch on it is a circle with a X in it two lines trailing from it with two dots at the end
I understand they may be (lamp or directional) symbol can someone please clarify... I supplied it to a colleague to power a low voltage strip ( he blew it up ) the literature for the unit says :
Infra Red Mini Small Sensor Switch - LLSENS
Infra Red Mini Sensor Switch - LLSENS
Sensor ideal for use in bathroom cabinets, illuminated mirrors etc
Senses hand movement in front of the sensor eye
Sensor switches both mains and low voltage lighting
Max 250w Switching capacity (Tungsten)
Dimensions 106mm long x 35mm wide x 16mm deep
2m cable between sensor head and switching unit
I'm not sure how he has wired it until I get to job tomorrow but I suspect he has used the output terminals as a switch (Same cable either side of terminals) so he tried to explain.
I thought the output would be 230/240V which in turn would power the driver/transformer..

ANY AND ALL COMMENTS APPRECIATED..
Cheers

Feed in on left cable, feed out at right cable. Output at 230 volt so a transformer needs to be connected to it on the output side, did he connect mains out direct to lv fitting.

Many thanks pal, sorry for late reply I aint been well. Yes your correct and I did explain this to my mate, but he was convinced that the symbol meant it was a switch... I think he's loosing it because he managed to blow up a dimmer switch yesterday, he is getting on a bit now might be time to retire him....

Thanks again
