just wondering your take on this,picture took above false ceiling.
Is this really the state of things to come.

honestly, I read these posts and have to ask.... where do some of you guys expect to run the cables, on the tiles? if you say "yes" you haven't worked on too many commercial jobs.
Times have changed, finding a customer who is willing to pay for Tradesmen quality work is not easy.

All they want is functioning, reliable and cheap. Compliant is rarely on their radar, in fact most are blissfully unaware of the Regs.

The 'above ceiling vistas' above are really quite common however the vast majority of the rats nest is data, CCTV, fire alarms, entry systems etc.

Quite often see a cable bundle hung in banding with everything else hung off it.

We expect to see conduit/trunking, tray and basket installed in the void for the different types of cables.

And a lot of the time this is how new installations are carried out.

The problem comes when alterations or additions are made.
