Where to get SY glands?

Could anyone let me know where to get some SY glands (external 20s) at a reasonable price. They do seem a tad expensive. SWA glands £7 for a pair, SY glands £21 a pair!!

TLC are usually where I go to find the more obscure items, thats where they were for £21. I guess they are just very expensive?

how do you earth the gland is their a pan , we usually just use stuffing glands for SY

an SY gland is similar to an SWA gland except that it has 2 slots, diametrically opposed. you split the braid and place each half in each slot. tighten the gland then cut off excess braid. have some band-aids ( or bog roll and insulation tape ) with you as you're bound to ----- your hands/fingers.

but if you are glanding into a plastic enclosure how do you earth it?

banjo or earthing nut, with a fly lead. same as with SWA in plastic.

You will fine they are called CXT glands 20mm around £2.60ish this could be for a pair any more and your being ripped off
