Where to sell electrical equipment, tools & cables

My Dad was a self employed electrician for 50 odd years. He sadly passed away in November and we have so much electrical & pluming stuff we don't know what to do with it. There's all types of cables, some still boxed or unused reels, and loads of tools, switches - you name it he had it.
Any suggestions where we could sell it? Small selection shown in attached photos

It might be worth talking to a local auction house to see if they would deal with the sale of it all. There are a few that specialise in this market.

Otherwise if you are able to spend time on listing batches on eBay, that would probably maximise the return. There is a degree of risk and hassle, but deals generally work out.

There are also people/shops who will sell things oneBay for you for a commission.

Any of the above should result in the tools and spares ultimately going to people who can use them!

Thank you, will see if there's an auction house. Would be a shame for them to be wasted and if I can raise some funds for my mum all the better!

There is Nothing in the pics that has big value etc etc . Facebook market page might be ok , but prepare for a lot of time wasters . A car boot might get you £200 , but is it all worth it ??

I know but it's all got to be cleared out and would be a shame just to chuck it

My initial thoughts were similar to those of @LukeD. I didn't wish to voice that opinion as someone spent considerable time and money accumulating these tools and that someone was your late father.

Sadly the tools we pay eye-watering sums for devalue at an alarming rate and quickly become outdated as technology progresses - all too often similar collections end up in a skip. I'm in a less than ideal location to help, but quite like your attitude in wanting to see them go to good use and I sincerely hope you succeed in that ambition - along with gathering some money for your mother.

Here is one other option.... "gift it" .Ask around for to learn who is starting up or even has just had some of their tools stolen. A young person could really benefit if they are starting out and money is tight .I know It wont help your mother , but its still a "good ending"
