Hey up,

Im getting a bit fed up of the installation side of being a spark. Looking for a new challenge. Thiking maybe about doing a HND and seeing where that takes me or maybe some kind of project management course. Not sure which directions i can take to further my career and do something more challenging. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on possible career paths you can take as a spark

maybe look into design, start with 2400 and do a hnc/d

You could do a PCET course at college. This course is over 2 years and it will enable you to teach 16 year old and up wards at colleges or further education establishments. Basically you will be an electrical tutor. All you need is a level 3 electrical qual and a minimum of 5 years experiance in the trade. They also give you £4000 for the 2 years just to help you along. You do 1/2 days in a class room, then they find you a placement so you can gain practical experiance. Of course you need to have a thick skin and a laid back attitude if you want to teach spotty teenagers.
