Hello

I've worked away on many contracts and have relied heavily on trying different places until by chance finding a decent watering hole or local b and b, So come on wheres the best digs cafes pubs ect.

I'll start off by saying the cheapest and for the money The Cromwell Crown Hotel wasn't bad at the time ÂŁ15 per night situated in Cromwell road SW7. And for a sarnie you can't beat Buckleys on Filton road bristol.

Roker Hotel Sunderland used to be a cracking watering hole, B&B, evening meal as well. Not been for a few years but stayed over quite a bit when i was on the road a few years ago.

Mate funny you should mention the Roker as i stayed there last week for a night. Didn't have a chance to do much but seems like a good spot will be back again in a couple of weeks.

For food i found a place called Wolverton House outside Milton Keynes full carvery meal ÂŁ3.59 unbeatable.

Queens hotel Brighton, Stayed there for three months in a family suite , three doubles two single, and on one night they gave us two camp bed's two ensuite's and one of the double bed's had it's own room and ensuite - guess where i slept?
Breakie at 6:30 - 9-30 eveneing meals 7pm - 9.30pm top bannana!

on the sunderland i will tell you one NOT to stay in, its called the blue house, hells bells the accommodation is best suited if your very desperate you have lost your sense of smell and you don`t mind staying in a sty

The Roker is great in kids summer holidays, all the young mums in skimpy bikini's:D swimming in the sea with the kids

Whats going on here folks??? You people pay for digs and scoff? Let your wise old uncle Ken tell you how to do it. Get to the area where you'll be working. Find pub, find a wench - doesn't matter what said wench looks like. Move in with said wench for the duration of your work. Kill two birds with one stone, but don't tell the missus I told you.
