Hi I'm starting out and need to calibrate 3 meters, RCD Loop and Ins. can anyone recommend a really good service that's great value? I am in Warwickshire but most offer courier. Thanks for your help! Always needed and greatly appreciated.

I sent my metrel off through the electric ctr it was £60 with vat for the all in one, that was sent direct to metrel. they are different prices for the separates back within 30 hours not bad really the last wholesalers i sent it to took nearly a week to get it back.

I have just emailed a calibrator from the iet site for his details i will pass them on when i get them for you.

I took mine to my local wholesaler who promptly lost it.

Two weeks later no meter and an NIC assessment I had to scrounge some Megger separates off a mate.

The meter did turn up the day before the NIC assessment, so I had two lots of meters.

Then I got the bill from the wholesaler £125!!!!

Won't be making that mistake again!!!!

Tell me about it, they only charge £80 when one of the lads got his megger calibrated. I assumed it would still be £80.. Key is never assume (You know the old saying my foreman used to drum in to me) --- u me

So i'd avoid a certain rexel company (not the one with & in the title) for all calibration

Used test4less last week to calibrate my Megger MFT. Total including VAT and courier pickup and return delivery was £58.69. Seemed like a good service. Turnaround was just over one calendar week.
(edit: Oh, and they sent me a free vibrating voltage detector, surplus to requirements, but seems to be a bit more sensistive than my Fluke one)

You should get your mate to give you an invoice for the hire of his meters for the duration they had lost them.

When they chase you for payment you hit them with your bill for hire of the meters due to their incompetence.:D
