Discuss Which Certificate? in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net

I have a situation where the ring circuit had gone down on the return leg from board to socket. (32A MCB).
I downrated the MCB to 16A to protect the cable. (Customer not keen on flooring coming up to replace leg etc.) But as this changes the electrical characteristics of the installation, which form would I need to satisfy part P. Would it be a minor works or a test and inspect cert?, although the installation may clearly not be to BS7671 2008.

Any help or advise would be Aappreciated.
