Discuss Which Cordless SDS ??? in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

I've used both the Bosch and Hilti and I would say the Bosch is more jumpy and like a torrent of barely controlled power that discharges too quickly and the Hilti just uses whats needed to get the job done, far less vibration which they pride themselves on I believe, It performs even better when using their own brand drill bits I didn't believe it at first but it does make a difference. The batteries also have a higher amp hour rating than the Bosch so you get marginally better run times and the charger is quicker as well I believe.

I'm sounding like a rep again :D

I've had 2 of the Makita 24 rotary stop and the batteries are pants, they have such a short life until they fail completely and best part of ÂŁ200 for a new one.

I now have just bought a Hitachi and its pretty good, has rotary stop and ÂŁ250 + VAT, not the best but a good allrounder

Probably for a lot of us its not a case of not affording it but there so many theiving t***ers about
To be fair mate, I don't think thieves will be choosy between Bosch or Hilti!!!

I got my Bosch with 2 x 2.6ah Batteries and a load of bits thrown in for ÂŁ430 inc VAT, I got a quote of nearly ÂŁ700 plus VAT for the Hilti.

that was the worst thing working on site with other trades about. not knowing if the box would be as full when you got back to it. no van outside to leave it locked up in, but saying that then you have the scrotes on the street walking around. when we did a major night club re-fit I put first dabs on a cupboard and hasped it. not a thing went walkies that time
