For an electrician?? .....Only in your dreams!! lol!!

Seeing as your an apprentice or maybe recently qualified, it's doubtful if you would ever be offered a position on any overseas contract. Even fully qualified and experienced electricians aren't being taken on by the international contractors anymore...

High pay = Big responsibilities!! You will need lots of related training in other areas & Lots of experience related to the proposed project. Most highly paid electrical jobs on offer in other countries are at senior designer level which will require at least a good HND and a minimum experience of 10 years. That said there are vacancies in countries that are considered dangerous where you could earn a slightly higher wage, but you would be at risk of being taken hostage or worse. Also you could consider signing up with an offshore oil company to work but they require additional training for survival etc before you can work for them.

ive worked in many countrys in the distant past, aden, uae,zircu island in the gulf saudi, they tend to use indian/phillipino labour nowdays
aden was exeptionally dangerous btw

As has been said, with just the basic sparky quals you're unlikely to get an offer but as a general rule the more dangerous a place is the more money you'll get. EG my brother is in instrumentation, when he was in Iraq a few months back he was pulling a stupid amount of money. He's in Kazakhstan now which is a bit more stable so is getting less but at least his compound isn't getting shelled by mortars every other day

In my old trade, which had no formal qualifications, it was down to the magic numbers between 35 and 40. That's years of age. If (as I had) you'd spent your working life from 20 doing that job, it was the experience that was wanted. Bits of paper were negligible, if not totally ignored. I've no doubt the same can be said of real sparks.

Mind, probably helped that I'd done a tool making apprenticeship. Apprenticeships equal (in employers eyes) discipline.

copper mines in australia is where the monies at for sparks.
you should clear at least £70k in a year if your timeserved with plenty of time off between shifts.
not a pleasant enviroment to work in though , and cost of living is very expensive in Oz at present.

edit ;
oh look , i've just cleared 3k posts :-)
im sure mods / admin will arrive shortly with my reward ;-)
