Hi all,
I hope somebody can help me...I moved out from Hungary Im a qualified electrician but I have done my exams in Hungary..that's mean Im not allowed to work in England legally as an electrician but now I really want to..Im quiet sure I need a health and safety course and a 17th edition course but Im not sure those two are enough or I need something else so if someone could help me that would be great..

the two you mentioned will be needed to get on most sites.

how do you know that your hungarian qualifications aren't transferable?

phone the jib and city & guilds - ask them if your qual's mean anything in the uk.

Most maintenance sparkies only require city and guilds electrical install2330/2365 level 3 and 17th ed, if your doing installs and working self employed or subbie then would advise doing your NVQ level 3 and registering with JIB to get full rate of pay many colleges offer these courses and advise on routes into schemes such as NICEIC/elecsa etc..

if anyone knows of any better routes then please correct me!
