Hello, Im hoping someone can give me some advice, previously my job was an electronics engineer which I was in this field for 15yrs, however I was made redundant and then started working offshore in the oil and gas industry over a year ago. My role changed and I was given the opportunity as a trainee electrician (despite my age) working along side other electricians. However iam now looking for courses to enrol myself on in my time off to support my my career. The obvious set back is the time away, I currently work a 3 and 3 rotation so would need to do Intensive training programs for qualifications such as city and guilds etc in my time off, maybe over long periods of time,... Ive done plenty of reading and tried to research what would suit me but I just feel even more confused now!!! Could someone please help me and give me advice on any courses which I would require leading me on the correct path and also any centres that you can recommend? Ideally centers more lacol within east Anglia as accommodation would be expensive. Guys I would be really appreciative of any advice and help, i feel quite stuck and im loving my new job so would like to continue further and further in this field.
