I am 17 years old just left school and would like some advice on which course is best for me to train as an electrician. Ideally I would like an appenticship but I am finding it hard get anything.

Any advice much appreciated

Have you spoken to local electrical contractors? Find out where they are and visit - sell yourself, but you will need to get there before 9 o'clock because most will be on site by then. Also look on the JTL website to get an idea of what the wok involves. Good luck.

Try one of the DNO's . Possibly WPD in your area. Get an apprenticeship as an Elec Eng if that appeals to you. Look it up and see.
google DNO 's. All info, what DNO covers your area will show up.
