I have just installed the manrose humidistat fan from screwfix (15722) and it stays on all the time. I have adjusted the humidistat controls to no avail.
Quite a few of the humidistat fans have poor reviews. Could anyone recommend one that they fit and it actually switches off at some point?
Cheers.

We are in a period of high humidity with the weather, it may be the case the max setting on the stat fall below the background humidity which at the time of posting is 87%, it probably the case it isn't broken but just trying to do its job, this is the issue with household humidity fans in that they have no background reference to compare the room to meaning they just stay on indefinitely when the background humidity is high.

Friend recently purchased one of these which I fitted for him. Controls are easy to adjust (timer and humidity) and all appear to work fine - It's not the quietest, can't comment on reliability as he's only had it for 3 weeks. It does display both temp and humidity.

CATA E-100

FYI pain in backside trying to route 3c&e 1.5mm cable, would be much better easier with 3c&e 1mm cable, but all it was all I had to hand.

I don’t fit them because of the above reasons.

They just stay on.

I quite like the continuous trickle running extractor fans with boost for areas where ventilation is a particular problem.

Most modern houses with very good insulation and a window it’s not really a problem to just use a timer fan

I've decided to go for an in-line fan with a remote humidity controller in the shower room. Just started another thread on understanding exactly how the humidity sensor and timer mixed with the light switch actually switch the fan on.

If you don't mind the size, the Envirovent humidity fans are superb, come pre-adjusted, and just need setting to bathroom or kitchen mode and humidity or 2 speed mode. They have a pull cord to boost the speed if needed, quiet too.
