Similar one to my last post guys. The boards I'm testing at the moment have live terminals on show. There are no barriers to protect from direct contact. Would this be classed IP2X ?

Sorry I should have made myself more clear. I'm 2391 testing on dbs for virgin media. When I take the covers off the boards the busbars are bare and so are the termials. Meaning there is nothing stopping you from touching the live terminals. How do I post a picture?

Are the live parts supposed to be shrouded and these shrouds are missing mate?
Remember, covers don't get taken off by any Tom Dick Or Harry. You're getting to do it because you're a skilled person.

Recommend that the client contacts the manufacturer for replacements mate then offer to do it for them and price for the remed work.
As for coding, because it's inside a closed cabinet that only skilled people would have access to I'd say recommend improvement. The IP rating of the cabinet as a whole would be maintained by the cover you have removed for your tests mate

exactly, any spark qualified to remove the cover off a CU shouls at least know where to poke his fingers and where to poke a neon screwdriver.

I remember one of my worst electric shocks from many years ago...
I opened an old 1960's cabinet back in my industrial days and fixed to the door was a massive analogue voltmeter. As the door swung open, a screw terminal about a foot long brushed against my arm and put me on my backside. Needless to say, it got cut down and shrouded. My engineering Manager at the time reminded me that as I had opened an electrical cabinet using a "cabinet key" I should have been more careful...

Shouldn't you be isolating the boards before removing the covers??
