which multi tester

Hi,

Anyone got recomendations on which multi tester, i am looking at metrel mi3000 easy plus and megger mft1720 at the moment.

Would the extra cost of the megger be justfied. so if anyone is using any of these any feedback good or bad much appreciated.

i used a megger mft 1720 at the last place i worked and im currently using my own mft 1553, both testers are a cracking bit of kit. i would go for the megger but shop around.

Ive got the Megger1720 - I like it - particularly useful for the autoRCD test which the 1710 doesn't have, no experience of the metrel so cant compare though.

Definitely shop around - I found prices could vary by £100+ Bought mine on line after a lot of searching test-4-less was the best price then

Hi I have the metrel easy to use and it has auto rcd as well. Also tip commander makes it easy to use one handed.

Hi I've used both and the Megger is a top quality instrument. I like the 2 probe loop testing too.

Now that the firmware is sorted, I really like my MFT1730. If I'm honest though, the 1720 is all I really need, but I like the rechargeable facility of the 1730. As already said, lots of deals around, but make sure you get one with a wander lead thrown in, if you don't have one already...invaluable for testing if metalwork is extraneous.

I had a cm200, very good bit of kit. I've got a kewtech kt63 now. I find equally as good

some folks like their mercedes, some have bmw`s, but old rusty transit will do the job too
same with testers i`m afraid
