About 17 months ago we bought a HP B110, despite setting the print quality to "draft" the consumption of HP ink, or slightly cheaper compatible ink is enormous and expensive.

I'm now seriously considering replacing it as a set of "large" ink cartridges is almost as much as the printer was originally and I'm using a set about every 4 months.

What device do you use and how much are the cartridges?

Thanks

i use a samsung colour laser printer!!

im upgrading to a konica minolta "duplex" laser printer with scan fax copy facilty!!

Got a HP color laser jet, 3 color cartridges 1 black cartridge.

Just replaced the black for the first time and cost about £62.99!!

So £251.96 to replace the 4 cartridges!!!!!

Maybe its liquid gold inside!

Top Cat im in same boat as you, but i get endless print quality of high spec and quick output along with about 1 year or so worth of use before it goes iffy! lol

Got a Canon MX310 for the good side of printing but as usual the cartridges cost a lot, does have a feeder for photocopying and sending faxes etc which is very handy.

Got a laserjet 4100n for doing black stuff which has stood the test of time, but not the toddler who has ripped of the no1 feed tray... :( Got it off ebay for around £30 and never had to change the cartridge in four years.

I changed to Kodak as I was fed up with Lexmark prices.
Kodak does everything I want it to and ink is about £16 I think for a pack of black and colour ink.

I use Canon printers A3 & A4 and refill the cartridges. The Canon printers were a recommendation from my brother who has a day nursery his printers get some hammer ink cartridges are refilled once or twice a week a printer lasts about two years before it dies

Kodak ESP 3250. No complaints so far. Only replaced the black cartrige so far, Staples had them on offer at 2 for 1.

I have an HP office jet 6500. Tis good but HP inks are expensive. But HP works well with the Linux operating system. It is also well built and is network able.

sent using an Ice Cream Sandwich. Mmmmm...

Sorry Tony , but have to say you must be avin a laugh !
Brought 2 Kodak's about 8 months ago one for me and one for the other director , and a wheel barrow full of 10 range cartridges since , my one packed up last month so swapped it for the newer version that takes the 30 range cartridge and it impossibly seems bloody well worse at the moment ?
Kodak my arse , they should be called George Best !!!!!

Epson px710w, prints, scans, prints dvds. Had it about 3 years, ink is cheap if you buy unbranded, had no issues other than it doesn't like really thick photo card. Stick to the papers and its fine. Scans straigt to pdf - as I am sure most do, which I love for emails. Always had Epson, yet to buy a bad one in my experience.

Just resurrecting this thread as I 'm going to need to buy more HP cartidges or a new printer soon.

Has anyone any experience of refillable cartridges.

I used HP refillables probably 6/7 years back and they were terrible. Don't know if it was down to which kit i bought or not

My Last HP Inkjet (about 2 years ago), I refilled the cartridges a few times, they'd weep through the jet holes for a while then settle down. They were fine after that.
Need to try it on my new printer.

Just to up date , I am now on my second 30 range printer as the replacement one lasted the whole of 3 weeks before packing up !
And to top it all , the bloody new one seems not to use the blue ink when printing , so now if i print in colour it comes out in shocking quality . I give up !!! :banghead:
