One of the lads has just got himself that Dewalt round top toolbag thats on the same page as your Irwin one.

Seems to be a lot of money for what it is but, I do like the cut of it's jib.

I know couple of the guys at work have got the Stanley fatmax tote bags

Personally I'm a service engineer used to use the ck bags now gone up onto veto propac just ordered the tech lc £130 but brilliant bit of kit

I have the CK tech bag. I don't find it that good for general electrical work. I'm considering some king of tote bag to go along with it as well. Most I've seen so far have pockets that aren't that deep, so I'm still looking.

Thanks guys,

Saw a Fatmax closed tote in Wickes earlier which I was tempted by. Not so big that it would be impossible to lift when full.

I'll keep looking around.

Got a Fatmax tote and it is a really good bit of kit. Plenty of room for house bashing stuff, straps for a level, saw pocket, various pockets and pouches for bits etc and has a shoulder strap to make carrying easier. Easily fits bolsters in the main bit with loads of room for other stuff, glad I bought one.

Got a CK technicians bag for my meter and basic tools for testing, not many complaints with that either.

Hi again chaps,

Bought myself the Fatmax bag from Wickes earlier today, only £35.

Loaded it up with the better of my tools and it seems great, pretty indestructible bit of kit going on first impressions!

i have the CK 1632 tool bag. i love it, it's easy to find every tool as it's got it's own pocket, i hardly every lose anything as i can count in my tools after each job. only downside is i don't think it will last more than 2 years of day to day, whereas a tool box will last longer and you can stand on a box.

Funnily enough I have a nice green one somewhere that fell into my possession...

I bought myself one of those Veto Propac XL's and can't really decide if I like it or not ,I've tried lots of tool bags and usually become annoyed with them fairly quickly , but the veto hasn't really been a problem except I can't fit 300mm long screwdrivers standing up like the other drivers which is a bit of a pain but it's not the be all and end all though ,but I'll say one thing they are very well made had mine for 6 months now and it still looks like new can't say that about any other one I've tried! also I've weighed it with all 60 odd tools in came to 17kg and it's no problem to carry either by strap or handle never been able to do that with the stanleys ,ck or plano etc
Saw the new Snickers bag /tote at elex and l liked the look of it although there are pros and cons also , I liked the fact that you can have long screwdrivers standing up and the overall shape looked good to carry but I thought it could do with a flap type cover to stop stuff getting wet, if I hadn't already got the veto I'd have bought one there and then.

I have the Pro Soft Side Tool Organizer - Tools - IRWIN TOOLS which stores my everyday stuff perfectly. Outer flapped pockets for tape/connectors etc and loops for screwdrivers and pouches for pliers/cutters etc inside. It's quite small but swallows an amazing amount of kit and keeps it well organized. Very good quality and much tougher than most.
I'm sure the double wide version will be good, I just thought the Pro Soft Side was better for my needs.

I bought a JCB toolbag and it's spot on IMHO. It has a metal skid type base which stops the 4rse wearing out when it gets dragged or pushed over floors, the pockets and dividers are very good, it come with a couple of pouches for bits, there's a net in the top that takes the OSG nicely and as it's bright yellow it's easy to keep an eye on. The other advantage is because it's not called an "electricians" bag it doesn't have £20:00 added to the price! All in all very happy with it.

I've got one of these for carrying screws, plugs, tape, spare batteries etc. Very handy bag.
