Spent the last three days in whitehaven looking at a job , God it's depressing, never seen such a mess in all my life electrical install must be the worst i've seen taped joints, singles, borrowed neutrals, fire alarm system a joke , smokes in one area covered by latex gloves - apparently they had to do that because when the guy's came out for a smoke it set the alarm off! emergency lighting supply spurred from the small power and one wall was soaking wet , put the fluke on it out of curiosity and got a reading of 2.4 ohms ( and the leads were 2m apart ) I said to the guy showing me around 'bit like a faraday cage isnt it' to which he replied Ive never seen a faraday do the come from south america - priceless
