decdastardly

Does anyone have a definitive answer cos everyone's opinion seems to differ depending on who I ask...
If you have full 2330 + 17th what does that mean you can do as far as ccu updates and certification goes? This seems to be a contentious point

If you wanted to use Napit certificates you would have to have the 2391 to do so because you need to register with them
If you used Niceic domestic installer certificates you need the 16th/17th edition exam because you need to register with them
If you use the original IET certificates you need nothing

The client may want an niceic/napit/Eca certificate and you cant provide one if you are not a member
If the client cares not about these bodies then sign away

As a side note...if you're not a member of any part p bodies, you would still need to notify building control before starting any (notifiable) work.

i didnt think 2391 was required with napit unless carrying out periodics?

It is a requirement for full scope Napit membership, however,as was pointed out to me on this forum.they may do an on site assessment in lieu of having the 2391 as long as it is attained in the next 12 months

They are probably no different to the others, because in the end they are all only interested in how many of us join and how much can they generate off us

The standard then becomes what the paying customer attains I suppose :(
